I’ve known Allie since we were at Chowan University together. She’s always been such a sweetheart with the kindest soul! I couldn’t have been happier when she called me and asked me to shoot her wedding! Her and Timmy have been together for roughly 8 years… so this day was long-awaited ;-) Once I realized how absolutely gorgeous her wedding venue was, my excitement grew even more! She has great taste, and booked Clay Hill Gardens — dream location, ya’ll! However, when her anticipated wedding day arrived, it was a cold and rainy day. I mean, pouring rain and 40 degree’s outside. My heart sank for Allie & Timmy because I remember waking up on my wedding day to dark skies and pouring rain and just feeling so upset that our day wasn’t sun shiny and perfect weather. I told Allie the same thing my dad told me on my wedding day — It’s just liquid sunshine!! :) The ceremony was absolutely beautiful in the Clay Hill barn and their reception was fabulous — an awesome crowd, danced until their shoes were off, amazing brick oven pizza and Italian food (I’m still craving those gorgonzola stuffed dates!!), pies, mini cup cakes, and a fully stocked bar! The rain may have put a damper on a few things but it didn’t ruin their attitude OR their beautiful day! I’m so honored to have been a part of this beautiful day and can’t wait for round 2 of portrait time with these two when they get back in their wedding attire for me! Congrats Allie and Timmy — and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! Health and happiness, xo!
