It was a windy day in the Outer Banks. The waves were crashing hard, the spray from the ocean was thick, and two people were busting at the seams to say their I Do’s to each other. One of my best friends married her forever soulmate and it was not only the most amazing thing to witness, but I actually got to capture it for them as well! I know most photographers don’t want to capture their friends’ weddings because they want to be able to enjoy the experience, but I LOVED that they made me their photographer! When I photograph something, I have the chance to take my emotions from what I’m seeing and create a tangible item out of it. I got to do this for Christina + Derek and it was such a blessing! They’ve been waiting a lifetime for each other. They got engaged over a year ago and literally couldn’t wait for this day. They planned for the perfect small, intimate beach wedding. A beach house over looking the ocean with friends and family, good food, close friends, music, and it was all so perfect!
