This is one of my favorite sessions to date! Jessica showed up perfectly dressed with every detail in place, right down to her daughter matching her. She had no certain expectations from the session, and that made it SO fun for me because I got to be creative every step of the way. I can’t tell you what this session did for me creatively in the dead of winter while most of us aren’t shooting much. It was 30 degrees, windy and frigid and while we were ALL feeling it, none of us made a fuss of it and just made magic happen instead!! I filled an entire 16GB memory card up in 30/45 minutes — it was incredible!!

Maternity sessions have to be one of my most favorite things in the world to capture anyways though — they’re just perfect. Pair that pregnant belly with the perfect dress, and it just puts me in photographer heaven!! There’s something about a woman carrying life that brings so much joy and beauty into the world and I just can’t get enough of it.

Jessica was nothing less than perfect in her Sew Trendy olive green dress. Her baby bump was so beautiful and she was absolutely radiant and glowing. I couldn’t believe what amazing light we had to work with at their session and it seemed like all the sunlight and glow just surrounded Jessica.

We shot some solo shots of course, which Jessica ROCKED and then added in Joe and her daughter Ashton for a few ‘family’ and ‘mommy & me’ shots. Being pregnant myself, the images of Jessica and Ashton really made me super emotional. There Ashton is, hugging her mom and baby brother or sister (gender unknown! I don’t know how you women do that LOL) and embracing their last few moments together as JUST the two of them… as an only child for just a bit longer. Oh my goodness it brings tears!

Jessica, Joe and Ashton, you three were a dream to work with! I can’t wait to see if God is blessing you with another daughter or a son. Thank you a million times for choosing me to capture such a beautiful and important time in your lives. Prayers sent for a wonderful delivery.
