Ever since I started this beautiful journey into professional photography, I have always wanted to host a Styled Workshop! I can’t think of anything more FUN and any other fabulous way to give back than to set up a beautiful wedding set up and help other photographers learn everything I know. Knowledge is powerful, and it should be shared!
I had a vision for this Styled Workshop and I immediately went to Jamie with Jamie Leigh Events with my thoughts. She agreed to be the Event Planner for this amazing event and we quickly started brainstorming ideas. Within 24 hours I also had a venue, a date and time, a make up artist, hair stylist, bakery for the wedding cake and goodies, and another event planner that offered their entire warehouse of decor for me to pick and choose from. We’re still working on getting more vendors of course, but for this to come together so naturally, means it was meant to be!! I can’t wait to pull all of our thoughts together to create this beautiful Workshop!
So the Styled Workshop will be held on Thursday, July 10th from 5-8pm at the beautiful Back Bay Farms in Pungo. The owner has so graciously allowed us to not only use her beautiful property, but to also use one of their white horses to pose with our couple during the posing/portrait session of the day. A WHITE HORSE ya’ll!!! It’s like we’re in a fairy tale or something — how did we get SO lucky with this Styled Workshop?!?!
Within the Workshop’s 3 hours, I will go over topics like accurately adjusting camera settings, lighting/sunflare (as long as the sun is out of course), posing a couple, learning how to shoot details, tips and tricks to flawless shooting, PLUS I will be there to answer ANY of your questions and help you along the way.
The Styled Workshop will offer a beautiful wedding for you to add to your portfolio and more knowledge than you came with. It’s all about continuous learning in this industry and I’m excited to help others learn! If any of you have been wanting to get into the wedding industry and shooting weddings, you probably know that it’s almost impossible to book a wedding without having something to SHOW your potential bride + groom. Once they see this in your portfolio, they’ll immediately feel more trusting of your ability to shoot their wedding — I just know it!
The fee for this Workshop is $300 +tax and you can write it off on your taxes as continuous education! If you’d like to attend this amazing event, please sign up here. Anyone that attends this event that would also like to do a one-on-one mentoring session with me at a later date after the Workshop, will get $25 off (the mentoring session).
