I just realized its been a while since I’ve blogged a wedding. What better way to start back up than with my own sisters wedding! She and the love of her life finally tied the knot this summer in beautiful Sandbridge. They had been engaged for almost a year and wedding plan ideas had been thrown around like crazy in that almost 12 months. They finally decided on a small, intimate wedding with just close friends and family. Aubree was the flower girl (cue the tears), I was the photographer (with help from my husband), Joey’s brother in law was the officiant and it was a perfectly magical day. It was supposed to rain but instead, we had the most perfect cloud coverage for beautiful images. Have you ever tried to photograph your own siblings wedding? Ya’ll…its HARD! You want to be in the moment WITH them but when you’re controlling like I am (LOL), you want to be the one thats creating the most perfect images to last a lifetime for them. They read their vows and I cried hard behind my camera while trying to still make sure horizons were straight, I was getting everything I wanted in the view finder and still doing my job the best I could with blurry tear filled eyes. Eye liner and mascara all messed up. They had such beautiful words to say, they kissed, were pronounced husband and wife and then RAN full speed towards the ocean together for their 10 minutes of alone time. I wish all weddings could be this simple, easy, and beautiful. I love all weddings of course, but there was ZERO pressure or drama. It was perfection.
Congrats Kadi & Joey! The Thompsons love you guys!
