Oh Chi and Joe…where to begin!! I met these two last year around this time in Starbucks for their wedding inquiry. My husband was deployed so Aubree came with me, threw puffs all over the ground, and Joe picked them all up, LOL!! Chi found me through a mutual friend that had just gone to heaven and we felt really drawn to each other through her passing. My heart was so elated when she chose me to capture her big day! We got to know each other really well through emails, their consultation, and their engagements!! Chi even sent me texts every so often with photo’s of all of her DIY stuff — HEAVENLY! This girl totally outdid herself and I loved every creative thing she did! Now let me just preface this wedding by saying it was one of the best weddings I have ever shot! For starters, the venue was one of my all time FAVORITE — Christopher Newport University! CNU is more beautiful than people think… the buildings are jaw dropping, the architecture is stunning and the grounds are just screaming for someone to pose in front of them; I was truly in photographers heaven. Chi added in a pink heart balloon release for our dear friend Brittany that had passed. She and Joe released the balloons, I snapped away, and then we hugged it out for a few seconds. There was lots of hugging by the way – I could just squeeze Chi!! She’s so happy and smiley all the time and it makes my heart happy! Anyway! Their day went off without a hitch and then we PARTIED, hard, haha!! Nothing makes me happier than a party crowd — giving me something to do during reception, yes please! Every nook, corner, and square of the dance floor had SOMETHING going on, someone dancing, someone laughing, someone chugging beers, etc… I just had so much fun! Chi did 3 outfit changes and I loved every single dress that girl put on!! She was simply stunning and in all honestly, I’ve never shot a wedding where the bride and groom were SO inseparable. Most of the time they dance the night away with friends, but Chi and Joe were attached at the hip, danced together all night, and looked more in love than anyone — I’m SO blessed to know them!! Thank you so much Chi + Joe from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to capture your most special day. I just love you two to pieces and hope to capture all the wonderful things marriage leads to one day…like BABIES! ;-) Health and happiness to you two always, xoxo!
