I have been so busy lately with sessions, editing, weddings, getting the baby’s room ready, etc., that I have totally forgotten to share some of our amazing maternity photo’s that an old friend/photographer took for us — Christina Barnum Photography! With being so busy taking photo’s for other people, I always forget that I need to get in front of the camera every now and then too! ;-) Throughout the first two trimesters of my pregnancy, my husband and I did the ‘fruit comparison’ photo’s every couple of weeks and I would strut my stuff in front of the camera with the ‘fruit of the week’ that was the same size as Baby Thompson (which we all know by now that we’re having a girl — Aubree Lucille). However– now that I am in my third trimester and at 35 weeks, I’m feeling a little *large and in charge* these days! Swelling has taken over my body, my ‘baby bump’ has gotten out of control, I’m hot all the time, I waddle, and frankly, I just *don’t* want to be in front of the camera! I think all you other momma’s and preggo’s out there can agree with me on this one — pregnancy, while so beautiful, can take a toll on your self esteem. It’s good to have a great support system like family, friends and especially a husband who knows when its necessary to tell me how beautiful or “hot” I am, LOL! Nevertheless, this is such a sweet moment in our lives expecting our first child together that I knew I had to have maternity photo’s taken. Regardless of how I physically felt, I still did them of course, and had a blast in doing so. It just goes to prove that photo’s are such a great way to preserve a memory — especially one this special. I’m so excited to show these photo’s to Aubree one day and I’m so glad Christina was able to capture them for us! Thanks for reading the blog today & checking out some personal photo’s :) xoxo!
