Jonathan and I went to high school together and his sweet and beautiful wife and I had been in contact about a family session she has been wanting. We finally nailed down a date and lucked out with a super sunny day — even if it was bone chilling cold!! We roamed my favorite Battlefields and took full advantage of the beautiful scenery, sunshine, and the blue barn Jennifer had seen in a photo I had shot a couple of months back. Barns are amazing, yes…but BLUE barns are so hard to come by so I could totally share in her excitement over this pretty barn as a backdrop for her family photos :) After a little while, the 3 kiddo’s were pretty much over me and my camera!! I mean, who wants to sit still and smile when they have the entire Battlefields to run and play in?! I get it, little ones! :) Once the 3 kids were off running and playing, we took FULL advantage of getting some updated love shots of Jennifer and Jonathan. These two LOVED that time together and its why I think its so important to carve out 15 minutes during a family session to do these shots. They were so happy, so care free, so in love… so smiley and giggly during that 15 minutes. Their love radiates and I’m so so thankful I got to be the one to capture these for them!!
