December 30, 2013
What can I say? Taking that leap of faith earlier in the year to quit my corporate job to follow my heart, my dream, my PASSION… was the BEST decision I have ever made for myself. Scary? …yes! But SO worth it. Every single one of you that booked a session or a wedding with me in 2013 helped to make my dream come true. For that, I am eternally grateful and could never express my sincere gratitude through words. This year was such a huge success and bigger than I could have ever imagined. It truly makes me so excited and eager to see what 2014 will bring to Jami Thompson Photography! I’ve already booked more weddings for 2014 than I did for this year and I’m getting close to my goal of shooting at LEAST 10 weddings for the year. Remember — if you refer a bride & groom that books their wedding with me, YOU get a 50% off session, win-win!
I shot 6 weddings in my first year, all while being pregnant with my daughter, Aubree! I shot my first wedding at 4 weeks pregnant and my last wedding at 36 weeks preggo! I shot everything else from sweet family sessions, to bridal portraits, maternity, pregnancy announcements, gender reveals, surprise proposals (oh my gosh it was so amazing being able to shoot 2 of those this year…I cried and shook with emotion the entire time I captured both of them!), I captured children being their sweet innocent little selves, some sexy boudoir and so much sweet and amazing LOVE with some of the sweetest couples I have ever met. I met so many new people that I am so grateful to have met and I LOVE that this job allows me to constantly be introduced to so many wonderful people that I may not have met otherwise. 2014, you certainly have some big shoes to fill!
I thought it would be fun to reminisce and share some of my FAVORITE images from 2013! I hope you all enjoy! I can’t wait to photograph more of your beautiful faces in 2014 and to continue this beautiful dream of mine… thank you, from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to do what I love! You all are AMAZING & I so hope you’ll follow me on my journey into 2014. XO!
