These two beautiful souls are MARRIED ya’ll!! We did their engagement session in the beautiful Outer Banks several months back and I was so happy their wedding took place there too! They rented a huge house in Corolla (the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ house) right on the beach for their wedding and it was glorious. Window light for days, seeing the waves from every window of the house, a beautiful night on the ocean and a cotton candy sunset — it couldn’t have been more perfect! What was supposed to be a rainy, gloomy, mess of a day turned out to be pretty mellow with only a few raindrops AFTER the wedding while I was on my way home — thank you Jesus!

Mallory and Steve decided to do an ‘around the corner’ shot — where we have Steve in place with his back towards Mallory, and she walks up to him, puts her back against his, they hold hands, and talk. It was the sweetest moment and I definitely cried behind my camera! The amount of emotions running through both of them was so sweet and beautiful. They talked to each other and the first thing they both blurted out at the same time was “I MISSED YOU TODAY!!” — cue the tears y’all! They talked for a while, I snapped away, and they broke apart to see each other at the ceremony. Mind you, they never actually saw each other during this moment…they just held hands and talked about how much they missed each other all day. I loved this moment!

Steve’s daughter was a part of every moment in this wedding and I just adored how they kept her so included. She did the sand ceremony with Mallory and her dad…she cried and Mallory wiped her tears. They hugged as a new family and my heart just burst with joy in that moment.

Mallory and Steve had touches of beachy and nautical decor, an amazing dinner spread from Currituck BBQ, a donut bar from Duck Donuts, pumpkin cheesecake to bring in a touch of Fall, and they danced under the stars together to their favorite songs. It truly was the perfect evening and I couldn’t be happier for these two perfect souls. My hope is for a lifetime of health and happiness, and lots of babies for you two beautiful people!!
