One of my beautiful 2016 brides, Jamie told me her brother and sister in law were expecting. She wanted to gift them with a session they could use for either maternity or lifestyle, and I was really excited after she gifted it, Stephanie chose a Lifestyle Session! It’s been such a long time since I’ve done a Lifestyle Session and it really brought so much happiness to my heart. I was welcomed into the Maxfield’s home and we quickly got started! Katherine had her 2 month shots the day of our session, and while she wasn’t particularly happy with us (LOL), I think we all did a great job of pulling the happiness out of her and not showing too many tears!

Katherine definitely gave me all the baby fever with her cute little toes, adorable little yawns and that new baby smell I wish I could bottle up!! She’s perfectly squishy and I could just eat her up! I’m so so honored I was chosen to shoot this session — these types of sessions are seriously so classic and timeless. To look back on these in 10, 20, 50 years from now… I get butterflies in my stomach at the thought. In years from now, they probably won’t live in the same home, and Katherine will be much older. They’ll get a chance to look through and see these images of their first home together, the room their first child was brought home to, they’ll remember the way the light came in perfectly and graced Katherines face so beautifully. They’ll get to remember her as a sweet baby and those sweet embraces they all 3 had as a new family. Thats why I love my job so much — to have had a very small part in them remembering those tiny details one day — its bliss to my soul!
