Most people aren’t willing to brave the beach for a session in January, but the Payne family is a totally different story! They drove from Richmond to shoot with me (love it when I get people from outside of Hampton Roads as well), and were willing and ready to brave the beach!  While it was still chilly, we at least lucked out with a warmer-than-usual January day!  I took them to one of my favorite little spots at the Oceanfront, full of colorful little doors, and a couple of catamaran’s just hanging out on the beach waiting for someone to come take a picture of them ;-)  The Payne’s brought their two adorable dogs with them — some of the most well behaved and hysterical dogs I’ve ever had come along to a session before!  Bandit (the lab) ran all over the beach trying to play football with a couple of guys — and succeeded too!

Now everyone knows I’m mostly a wedding/couples photographer, so OF COURSE I had to capture a few ‘love shots’ of Isaac and his girlfriend (who came from Kansas).  I love capturing ‘love’ and it certainly makes me so happy to see two people so smitten with each other.  We laughed a lot during this session together, which make the session tons of fun!  Everyone seemed so happy to be with one another and that’s what matters most!  I had so much fun with you guys and hope to work with ya’ll again during the warmer weather :) XO!
