Over the course of the past 2 years, I have worked my ass off to build this business and to make my dream of being a full time photographer and business owner a reality. Truly — if you’re a business owner, you know how much hard work it really is! Last year I put in the tough work of building a good portfolio, creating a good clientele base, networking with some of my favorite photographers, business license, insurance, taxes, CPA stuff, etc. All the boring tough stuff that made my business strong and made it able to thrive. THIS YEAR however, I’ve been able to partake in some of the more FUN stuff — mentoring, creating a fun place for other photographers to come learn more without ‘fear’ instilled in them from someone else, shooting more of what I really want to shoot, making lasting friendships with clients and creating this amazing promo film!

Ya’ll… not only is the promo film complete, but its amazing. It’s actually more amazing than I could have EVER EVER imagined!! Stacey Flota is one of my 2014 brides and she is a complete sweetheart! She and her brother Zach started Retroglass Productions, a lifestyle and wedding videography business just a few months back! Once I realized they started this new journey, I asked if they would be interested in working with me on filming a promo video for Jami Thompson Photography! We filmed over the course of a couple of months and when they sent me the file to this video last night, I laughed, cried and was absolutely AMAZED by their work! They captured my true personality — my silly, goofy, snorting self — and yes, I really am like this 100% of the time. I always wonder why my husband married me LOL ;-)
