You guys… I am SO EXCITED to be able to announce that I’m starting a new series within my mentoring! Last year, a friend inspired me to start mentoring and now, she has encouraged me to start these new get together’s for photographers! I’ve had the idea of holding one of these for quite some time and I’m so thrilled that it has finally come together! 

When I started thinking about how I wanted these Social’s to go down, I knew I wanted them to be welcoming, warm, cozy, full of knowledge, FUN, and affordable to everyone! So I figured there was no better place to hold these other than my home in Virginia Beach! This industry is full of negative Debbie downers and I’ve always wanted to lift everyone higher, make everyone feel welcome and HELP as many people as I can! So inviting you all into my home is a big deal and should show how much I am here to help and make you all feel welcome! We’ll eat dinner together, have some drinks and have a 4 hour social, based on photography. You’ll leave feeling like you just had a blast and learned so much at the same time, win-win!!

Here’s the details, ya’ll:

• A 4 hour social in my home in Virginia Beach to include dinner and drinks on Saturday, September 27th from 5pm-9pm
• Shoot time – everyone will have a chance to shoot and ask questions during that time pertaining to camera settings, lighting, posing, etc. We’re all going to be each other’s models ;-) Just think, you’ll walk out of this with TONS of new head shots!! Win-win!
• After shoot time we will go inside and discuss editing the images we just took. Bring your laptops! I’ll have Lightroom displayed on my living room TV to show you how I edit my images, and some of my tips and tricks (if you don’t have a laptop, it’s okay! You’ll still learn so much by watching)!
• Once we’re through with editing/LR, we’ll move on to a question and answer based conversation where everyone will have a chance to ask all of their questions. NO topic is off limits! Be sure to make a list of questions before you come! And please remember, there are no stupid questions! You’ll never know if you don’t ask and that’s what this whole thing is about — feeling like you CAN ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask.
• After the Social, everyone who attends will be entered into a private Facebook group! It’s a group of everyone who has ever mentored with me. A ‘safe place’ to go when you need help with something, ask questions, get together with the other girls to do headshot swaps, etc.! It’s such a supportive group of all around GOOD people!
• Space is limited!

Ahh, I can’t WAIT to hold this amazing Social, to meet some of you I’ve never met before and to just help everyone as much as I can! :) See you soon!
