I am SO excited to be bringing an affordable Q+A Night to Hampton Roads for photographers of all skill levels!

Over the past 2 years, I have mentored 20 photographers in helping to either start their photography business, or to help get them out of a place of feeling ‘stuck’ or the feeling of this just isn’t working.

The thing is, IT CAN WORK… I am living proof that it can work. You CAN quit that corporate job that’s weighing you down, taking time away from whats important, like family time, and really start a business that is both meaningful and financially stable.

Trust me, I know what it feels like to be brand new to this. To be starting out fresh having no idea where to start, and more importantly, having nobody willing to help. It’s tough… but I have stressed the importance of community over competition in all of my mentoring over the years and am 100% here for every person that mentors under me!

Once you have attended any type of mentoring event with me, you’re automatically entered into the private Jami Thompson Mentoring Facebook group where it is filled with other local (and some that aren’t quite local) photographers that are in your same shoes. These girls are SO helpful and uplifting! If you ever have a question about ANYTHING, just ask in the group and one of us will help you :) The girls have even met for a headshot exchange before and we had a Christmas party last year in my home! I LOVE my mentoring girls and love helping others.
