I can’t believe this wedding has come and gone! Sara booked me mid year 2013 and we’ve been chatting along the way about every detail for her and Matt’s big day! This girl loves pink so of course she had touches of hot pink mixed with navy blue chevron (I love chevron) everywhere! I love when couples really think about the decor for a wedding — it really makes all the difference! I showed up to the hotel where Sara was getting ready and as soon as I saw her dress in person, I was instantly in love! She had the perfect fairy tail dress for the ceremony and a gorgeous slim fitting dress covered in pearls for the reception — I LOVE when girls have more than one dress!! Sara finished getting her make up done, was helped into her dress by best friend and Matron of Honor Kim, and then down the hall we walked towards the elevator as her son Connor helped her carry her dress – SO sweet! We all hopped into the elevator and to our surprise, ‘Going to the Chapel’ was playing over the speakers! We all squealed with excitement and Sara did a little dance as she smiled from ear to ear! How PERFECT?! We arrived at the church, began photo’s of all the guys as we tucked Sara and her maids away so nobody could see that gorgeous bride just yet! Ceremony time came and when Sara walked down the aisle, Matt’s face lit up with joy. This is one of my FAVORITE parts of a wedding! Seeing the grooms reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. It makes my heart just sing! The ceremony went off without a hitch and was just as perfect and beautiful as ever. Matt and Sara opted in for my ’10 minute rule’ (blog post on this whole idea coming soon) and I’m so glad they did! They ran out of the church and I followed them as they hugged, kissed, squealed a little bit in excitement and enjoyed 10 minutes of alone time while I captured their first emotions to just getting married. Reception time came along and they danced their first dance with her son Conner and hugged each other tightly. I could not have been more in LOVE with these two. They’re so perfect for each other. The way Matt looks at Sara is unreal — you can tell he is so in love with her and she adores him to pieces. I feel SO BLESSED that I got to capture these two making a vow for forever and I’m so so happy for them. Matt and Sara, may you two always be blessed with health and happiness! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day. You both are the sweetest and I look forward to being able to capture more happy moments in your lives — maybe a baby someday soon?! ;-) XOXO!
