This couple…you guys I’m not sure where to start with these two! I met Amber at Allie + Timmy’s wedding last year. She was a bridesmaid in the wedding and is also Timmy’s sister. She gave the BEST speech I had ever heard so I made sure I complimented her on that!! About 9 months later, she called me and left me a voicemail saying she was engaged and knew she wanted me to capture her special day — my heart instantly did a happy dance and I was so excited to be a part of her day now, too! She and Ryan are the funnest couple — they’re both crazy (in a good way LOL), love to laugh, have huge personalities and made me feel like I was a part of the family and not just a vendor! They had me come to Durham where they live for their engagements and that was my first time really hanging out with both of them and we had a BLAST! They made me laugh from the time we arrived to the time we left and not until they showed me their true southern hospitality and treated me to dinner! They both just have hearts of gold and are such great people — it shines right through them in everything they do!

Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing. When I arrived with my friend Jenn (who second shoot and assisted for me), we instantly started swooning over Amber’s details. Everything was so perfect and she chose the prettiest colors! She and Ryan got married in her hometown of Murfreesboro, NC which is actually where I went to college (Chowan University) — such a small world! Murfreesboro is a SMALL town, but with lots of charm and I knew we’d be able to pull out some beautiful photo’s from this small town, southern charm place thats so near to my heart. The reception is where Amber’s personality really got to shine y’all — she threw on some sunglasses, the DJ made an announcement that he was ‘taking a break’ and Amber got behind the DJ turntables and GOT DOWN! She pressed every button (LOL) and made all kinds of beats drop! She danced the night away and had multiple dance off’s, all while in Badgley Mischka heels. She hugged each person that showed up to her big day, ate all the food (brides, make time to eat!! It’s a busy day!), danced non-stop and truly allowed herself to just enjoy her wedding day. She was the perfect bride and I am so so blessed to know her!! I know she and Ryan are going to go on to do amazing things together because these two are meant to be.
